Assessment Efficiency Evaluation of Al-Diwaniya Sewage Treatment Plant in Iraq

This study aims to evaluate the performance of sewage treatment plant in Al-Diwaniya, one cities southern part Iraq. evaluation could be used facilitate effluent quality assessment or optimal process control plant. The influent reaching is considered a medium strong strength with BOD5/COD ratio range 0.23 and 0.69 which can an easily degradable by biological processes performed activated sludge unit. was found higher than Iraqi standards for disposal water bodies. ratios treated varied over wide as low 0.13 1.48 indicating operational problems Regression analysis estimate removal percentages BOD5, COD, TSS NO3 that should perform reach limitations.
